Founded in 2010 by Justine Hodgson-Barker, Barker Design is an interior design studio specialising in period properties, country homes and contemporary renovations across Kent and the South East.
Every home has its own character, shaped by its architecture, history and the people who live there. Our work brings together different eras, materials and craftsmanship, balancing the familiar with the unexpected to create interiors that feel individual, layered and original.
As a fully accredited member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), Justine combines creative vision and technical knowledge with the practical, organised approach developed during her earlier career in project management.
The studio takes on a limited number of projects at a time, ensuring each receives the care, attention and expertise it deserves. Our approach is personal and collaborative, combining clear direction and sound judgement to guide clients through complex decisions, making the process as enjoyable as the finished home.
